The format of our services are conducted in an orderly manner with respect and reverence for God, in which we seek to follow the scriptural pattern of the New Testament church.
Following the teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ and the example given to us by the Apostles, we meet weekly on Sunday (the Lord's Day) to remember the Lord Jesus and His death, burial and resurrection for us. The meeting is not prearranged but is open for men in church fellowship to stand and lead the congregation in praise and worship of the person of Christ and His work accomplished at the cross of Calvary. The worship is followed by members of the church taking of the bread and wine. At the end of the meeting, announcements are given concerning future activities along with prayer requests.
The gospel meeting begins with a time of congregational singing and then prayer. This is followed by a time for two or more men, who are in church fellowship, to preach the gospel, the good news of how "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was buried and rose again the third day...1 Corinthians 15:3-4." The messages are simply and clearly stated concerning God's Way of Salvation with a focus on the Bible's call to repent from sin and personally accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Since this is an individual matter, no "altar calls" are ever held. Personal conversation, however, is always available, if desired.
Times for Bible teaching are included in the regular weekly services. During these times, one or more of the men in church fellowship will give teaching from the Bible on a variety of practical or doctrinal topics. The goal is to instruct and encourage Christians in their lives for the glory of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
A group class is held for all ages. After a time of singing, instruction is given in a wide range of historical Biblical accounts and the simple applications to our lives. Teaching is given by members of the church with a focus on foundational Bible truths. The goal is to provide basic Biblical, moral and spiritual truths that will stand each child in good stead for their future.
Each year, a week of nightly meetings are held with the focus being on teaching basic Biblical truths to the young people as well as adults that attend. Awards are earned for attendance, Scripture memorization and quizzes. The final night includes pizza after the meeting.
The first part of this meeting is dedicated for collective audible prayer by men who are members of the church fellowship. The second part of the meeting is a Bible study where a topic or chapter of the Bible is read by one of the men, followed by an introduction and overview of the topic or passage. Detailed discussion by men in the church fellowship follows.
